Project Overview
Turfio is an enterprise-grade sports venue and turf booking ecosystem tailored for the sports and recreation market in Bangladesh. It bridges the gap between sports enthusiasts seeking available playing fields and venue operators managing daily match schedules, pricing models, and payment settlements.
Core System Architecture
- turfio-client (Web Application): Modern Single Page & SSR frontend built with Next.js 16 (React 19), Tailwind CSS 4, Radix UI, TanStack Query, and Better Auth. Features dual administrative portals for Platform Admins and Turf Owners, alongside a public venue discovery engine with interactive Leaflet map exploration and dynamic slot matrix booking.
- turfio-server (Backend API): High-performance REST & WebSocket API powered by Bun, Express 5, TypeScript, and Prisma ORM 7 with PostgreSQL. Leverages Redis for distributed atomic slot reservation locks, Socket.io for live availability broadcasting, AWS S3 for venue media and payment proofs, and Better Auth for session and RBAC security.
- turfio-flutter (Mobile App): Dedicated native mobile experience for players and enthusiasts to discover venues, reserve slots on the go, track match schedules, and complete MFS payments.

- Atomic Slot Reservation & Concurrency Locks: Distributed Redis
SET NX EXtemporary hold locking (10-minute TTL) paired with database transaction isolation to prevent double bookings during high-traffic match windows. - Multi-Tier Dynamic Pricing Engine: Declarative pricing phases supporting peak/off-peak hourly rates, day-of-week multipliers, custom slot durations (60/90/120 mins), and calendar holiday overrides.
- Single-Codebase Dual-Portal RBAC: Unified administrative workspace with granular permission gates (
